Chronicle about Keanu Reeves

A Canadian actor, born September 2, 1964 in Beirut, Lebanon, Reeves has earned
critical acclaim for his acting throughout his life. A New York Times reviewer
praised his versatility and said he "shows considerable discipline and range.
He has won several awards, and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The John Wick franchise represented a return to critical acclaim and commercial
success for Reeves.
. He wrote the text for a picture book, Ode to Happiness, illustrated by Alexandra
Grant.
He also produced a documentary, Side by Side, and directed the martial arts film
Man of Tai Chi.
In 1994, his career reached a new high with his starring role in the action film
Speed. His casting in the film was controversial, since, with the exception of Point
Break, he was mainly known for independent comedies and dramas. He had never
been the sole lead in a film before. The summer action film had a fairly large
budget and was directed by veteran cinematographer Jan de Bont in his directorial
debut.
In December 1999, his girlfriend, Jennifer Syme, gave birth to a stillborn baby after
an eight-month pregnancy. In 2000, Syme was killed in a car accident.
His first film as a director was Man of Tai Chi, released in 2013, with screenings at
the Beijing Film Festival and the Cannes Film Festival.
In October 2014, he played the lead role in the action thriller John Wick. A year
later, he starred in Knock Knock and narrated two documentaries, Deep Web and
Mifune: The Last Samurai. In 2016 he starred in The Neon Demon, The Bad Batch
and The Whole Truth. He also starred in a television series, Swedish Dicks.
He returned to the John Wick franchise in the sequels John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017)
and John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (2019).
He voiced Duke Caboom in, Toy Story 4 (2019)

In 2020, he returned to star in Bill & Ted Face the Music, the third film in the Bill &
Ted franchise, and appeared in The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run.
Reeves starred in The Matrix Resurrections (2021), the fourth installment of The
Matrix franchise.
