ASSIGNMENT 4

Take the learning styles questionnaire to find out what your learning style is. Write
about your reaction to the results: Were you surprised? As you think about how you
have learned things (or had trouble learning things), how does knowing your
learning style help you adjust your approach to learning in the future? How can
knowing more about your learning style help you in college?

After taking the learning styles questionnaire, I found out that visual learning is my
learning style. I was not surprised much because we did the same activity in the
Reading 1 Course. I had trouble learning things such as new words, so I think it is
very useful for me to know about my learning style in detail. I often learned by
writing information down or manipulating materials physically; however, that style
seems not suitable for me. I forgot the information easily after some hours. Having
known my learning style, I can use more ways of approaches to knowledge. As it is
visual learning, I will find more videos relating to my lessons, create mind maps,
use color in my notes, which help me to study more effectively. Besides, I will be
able to combine learning styles reasonably. In college, I have to access a large
number of materials. I think knowing about my learning style promotes effective
learning and helps me overcome the challenges that come with learning new
materials. I can easily understand information, remember it for a long time. This
can also enable me to gain a better understanding of my field of study, receive
better results, and reach my educational goals. Moreover, knowing my learning
style can increase my confidence and maximize my potential.
