YouTube Stars

 Are the risks of becoming a YouTube star worth the rewards?

No, you could get a lot of hate for doing something you love, or just because
of how you look. You could also be stalked. Bonus: if you’re a minor, you could
attract weird older people, which is not the minors’ fault at all, people just like
to be creepy.

I think the only plus side to becoming a YouTube star is the fame, you could
use it for good and donate your YouTube money to organizations and
promote a positive message to your fans.

 In the article one of the girls talks about threats she has received.
Is there a risk in putting yourself on the internet by uploading videos or
pictures of yourself?

Yes, you could get stalked and swatted during livestreams.

 Could you handle the comments and negativity that people would direct
toward you?

No, I have very low self-esteem, so I would not be able to handle it.

 Why would people direct negative comments toward people whom they
have never met?

I don’t know, I never really hated someone because of that so it’s hard to say.

 Have you ever uploaded a video(s)?

Yes, I have.

 What were the responses like?

There wasn’t much interaction/responses on my video. Though, I did get a few

likes for it which felt nice.

 Were your feelings hurt or what is a positive experience?

No, it was my first video so I expected that would happen.

 Should young kids be warned about uploading videos?

Or should there be an age limit for children uploading videos onto the
internet?
Kids should definitely be warned of uploading content to YouTube at such a young
age. About the “age limit for children uploading videos” I feel like they’ll always find
a way to get around rules, they could set up an account with a new email address
and change their birthday.
