Class IubLink
Class IubLink
+-RncFunction
+-IubLink
+-IubEdch [0..1]
+-NbapCommon [0..1]
+-NbapDedicated [0..1]
+-NodeSynch [1..1]
Models the manageable characteristics of an RBS that must be known to the RNC. One instance per RBS
controlled by the RNC should exist.
Furthermore, the IubLink MO Type acts as a container class for all MO Types related to Iub
communication with an RBS. This includes MO Types for NBAP communication and Node
Synchronization.
The Control Plane resources for the IubLink are configured for ATM by setting
controlPlaneTransportOption.atm to TRUE and creating NbapCommon and NbapDedicated MO instances
under the IubLink. These instances are used to tie the UniSaalTp resources to the Nbap protocols.
The Control Plane resources for the IubLink are configured for IP by setting
controlPlaneTransportOption.ipv4 to TRUE and setting sctpRef to a valid reference.
The User Plane resources for the IubLink are configured for ATM by setting
userPlaneTransportOption.atm to TRUE, and setting atmUserPlaneTermSubrackRef to a valid reference.
The User Plane resources for the IubLink are configured for IP by setting userPlaneTransportOption.ipv4
to TRUE, and setting userPlaneIpResourceRef to a valid reference.

spare = 0
Spare attribute, currently not in use.
Spare attributes in the RNC are intended for temporary solutions, and
their usage may vary depending on the installed RNC software. It is
strongly recommended to only set the spare attributes that correspond to
a desired functionality and leave all other spare attributes set to zero (0).
Information in the descriptions about what spare attributes are in use may
be overridden by the information in PLM Info documents. Note that a later
RNC release may use another attribute to control the functionality
previously provided by a spare attribute, or may remove the functionality
altogether. In these cases, the change is documented in the NIR and
reflected in the description of the spare attribute.

all admission requests.

policy.

string

The value is not used by the RNC.
long
userPlaneGbrAdmBandwidthDl = 10000 { 1..10000 }
The average estimated downlink transmission bandwidth on this IubLink
that can be used by GBR RABs when the Iub GBR admission control
feature is active. The bandwith for IP transport includes UDP/IP/Ethernet
overhead; likewise, the bandwidth for ATM transport includes AAL2/ATM
overhead. This value is used by TN Connection Admission Control to
calculate the downlink bandwidth limit used for admission, which is (in
kbps) 100 * userPlaneGbrAdmBandwidthDl * (1 +
userPlaneGbrAdmMarginDl / 100).
If the Dual Stack Iub feature is configured (both ATM and IP have been
configured in userPlaneTransportOption), then all GBR services must be
configured with the same transport option, either ATM or IP, for the
admission control function to work properly.
The bandwidth should always be set to less than or equal to the physical
Iub bandwidth.
Unit: 100 kbps
Disturbances: Changes of this attribute may disturb traffic.
Takes effect: New connections
long
userPlaneGbrAdmBandwidthUl = 10000 { 1..10000 }
The average estimated uplink transmission bandwidth on this IubLink that
can be used by GBR RABs when the Iub GBR admission control feature is
active. The bandwith for IP transport includes UDP/IP/Ethernet overhead;
likewise, the bandwidth for ATM transport includes AAL2/ATM overhead.
This value is used by TN Connection Admission Control to calculate the
uplink bandwidth limit used for admission, which is (in kbps) 100 *
userPlaneGbrAdmBandwidthUl * (1 + userPlaneGbrAdmMarginUl / 100).
If the Dual Stack Iub feature is configured (both ATM and IP have been
configured in userPlaneTransportOption), then all GBR services must be

BooleanVals
userPlaneGbrAdmEnabled = FALSE
Activates the Iub GBR admission control feature for GBR transport
bearers.
The GBR transport bearers affected by this feature are:
- Conversational transport bearers
- Streaming transport bearers
- Transport bearers for RRC connection setup
- All Common (TrCh) transport bearers
Unit: 1 %
Takes effect: New connections
long
userPlaneGbrAdmMarginUl = 0 { -99..99 }
Margin to which this Iub link is over- or underbooked in the uplink, when
the Iub GBR admission control feature is active. Expressed relative to the
value of userPlaneGbrAdmBandwidthUl. This value is used by TN
Connection Admission Control to calculate the uplink bandwidth limit used
for admission, which is (in kbps) 100 * userPlaneGbrAdmBandwidthUl * (1
+ userPlaneGbrAdmMarginUl / 100). If the Iub link is overbooked, then
the probablility of overloading the Iub link is increased, whereas if the Iub
link is underbooked, the chance of overload is reduced, but at the expense
of rejecting more RL setup/reconfigurations.
Unit: 1 %
Takes effect: New connections
IpAccessHostPool
userPlaneIpResourceRef
Local user plane IP resource(s) available for the Iub interface.
PM Counters
long
interfaceOnly pmDchFramesOutOfSequenceUl
noNotification Number of Iub DCH frame protocol frames received out-of-sequence in the uplink
nonPersistent
direction. The counter is stepped only when the underlying transport network is IP.
readOnly
Condition: Incremented by one when an out-of-sequence DCH frame protocol frame is
received. A frame is considered to be out-of-sequence if frame_n (or less) arrives after
frame_n+1.
Counter type: PEG
Scanner: Not included in any predefined scanner
Counter is reset after measurement period: Yes
Counter context: SRNC
long[10..10]
nonUnique pmDlCredits
ordered Total consumed RBS DL credits.
interfaceOnly
noNotification
Note:
nonPersistent
readOnly For DU Radio Node, this counter does not take SF256 resource usage into account.
For Baseband Radio Node, SF256 is counted as:
- 1 CE in case of Low rate AMR

Total CE cost is rounded up before the counter is stepped.
The individual counter elements are stepped based on the following ranges:
