Dutch does Samba again, set foot in the World Cup final after a 32year wait.
In a field in the heart of Amsterdam, a sea of orange erupted into ecstasy as fans celebrated Holland's victory over Uruguay. Orange metallic streamers rained down on the screaming fans, a thousand orange wigs waggled as their wearers punched the air & pink flares painted the sky. Holland is through to the World Cup Final after a nail-biting 90 minutes. Second-half goals from Wesley Sneijder and Arjen Robben put the Dutch 3-1 up, but Maxi Pereira summed up the never-say-die spirit of the Uruguayans with an injury-time strike to ensure a frantic finish. Giovanni van Bronckhorst put the Netherlands ahead after 18 minutes with probably the goal of the tournament, a stunning 30 meter strike which whistled past Uruguay goalkeeper Fernando Muslera. The Dutch now await the winners of today's Germany and Spain match that is promising to be this World Cup's mother of all battles. Will Men in Blue bounce back? Indian fans have kept their fingers crossed, as men in blue face Bangladesh today at 2.30pm in Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium. Though old fishes like MS Dhoni, Gambhir and Shewag are in the squad the team falls short of experienced bowlers. Nevertheless seat has been reserved for IPL stars Kohli and Saurabh Tiwary. However Bangladesh cannot be written off, will India show its mettle today.

Box office - Once Upon A Time goes from strength to strength. With every successive day in its opening weekend, director Milan Luthrias film Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai attracted more and more crowds and raked in decent collections during the first three days since its release on Friday. The movie starring Ajay Devgan, Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut and Prachi Desai, got a thumbs up from critics and since then the positive word of mouth

has played in its favour. All in all, the opening weekend collection of Once Upon A Time in Mumbai stands at Rs.22 crores. Neetu Chandra: The new, hot cat on ramp. She is someone who attracts the shutterbugs, for her oomph factor. And these days Neetu Chandra seems to have become a hot choice with fashion designers. Moreover, she takes to stage without needing rehearsals, as if like fish to water. "Being a ramp showstopper gives me a different kind of high and confidence. Bihar assembly ruckus - All suspended LJP MLA's resign. As we had told earlier 67 opposition MLA's were suspended for the rest of the monsoon session from the Bihar Assembly yesterday, for their unruly behavior and false accusations. Today all the 12 MLA's of the LJP party have submitted their resignation letters to National President Ram Vilas Paswan and state chief Pashupati Kumar Paras. The LJP spokesman revealed that the MLA's felt that their continuance as members of the state Assembly was "meaningless" after the "insult" they were subjected to, by the speaker. Cabinet approves new rupee symbol. The Indian rupee will have its own symbol, a mix of the Devanagri 'Ra' and Roman 'R', to become the fifth currency in the world to have a distinct identity. The new symbol, designed by IIT post-graduate D Uday Kumar was approved by the Union Cabinet today. The cabinet said that the symbol would help in distinguishing the Indian currency from rupee or rupiah of South Asian countries, and also represents the historical and cultural ethos of India. Infosys stock hits record high ahead of earnings "Infosys is expected to outperform its forecast and upgrade, its full-year outlook," said Harit Shah, IT analyst of Karvy Stock Broking. By 10:41 a.m., Infosys was up 1.5 percent at Rs 2,869.40 after hitting Rs 2,879.90, outpacing a 1 percent rise in the main stock index. Most analysts expect Infosys, June quarter reports which results on Tuesday, to raise its revenue growth in dollar terms for 2010/11 to 17-19 percent from 16-18 percent given in April. Analysts expect the Rs 3.3 percent fall against the U.S. dollar in June quarter, to partially offset the impact of salary hikes and euro volatility.
