Rainbow Crochet Christmas Trees

The Rainbow Christmas Tree is a perfect last-minute Christmas project. They
might be small in stature, but big in impact!
The pattern can be used to make little gorgeous bright and cheerful Christmas trees,
that will cheer up your Xmas day. They can be hung on your tree, to make garland or
a festive decoration for your holiday table, and used as gift tags on presents. The

ABBREVIATIONS:
★ slip st = slip stich ★ dc = double crochet
★ ch = chain ★ sc = single crochet ★ hdc = half double crochet
★ Picot = Ch 3, slip st in 3rd ch from hook.

MATERIALS :
★ You can use any yarns as well as yarn leftovers. It can be cotton (for example
Must Have from Yarn and Colors, Sugar'n Cream Solids & Denim from Lily, Cotton
DK from Paintbox Yarns, Happy Cotton from Sirdar, I Love This Cotton from Hobby
Lobby), or linen, wool, acrylic. For a rainbow decor, you will need a small amount of
yarn (10-15m/yrd) of each color: red, orange, yellow, green, light blue, blue, purple.
And remember that the finished size depends on the thickness of the yarn.
★ Crochet Hook 3,5 – 4 mm (US /E – G). Must be taken number less than
recommended for your yarn so that ornament is dense and will retain shape.

GAUGE : app. 20 sts and 28 rows = 10cm/4inch

FINISHED SIZE: 3 x 3 inch ( 7,5 x 7,5 cm)

Row 1: Magic ring, ch 3 (counts as first dc here and throughout), 2 dc, ch 5, 3dc.
Tighten loop. (picture 1, 2)

Fasten off and tie in all tails.


You can pin a ornament onto a blocking board or a clean towel on your ironing
board and hold a steam iron about an inch above your work and gently heat the
using the steam. It will retain its pinned out shape.

How to make a Christmas tree from pampas grass
1. Place paper under your pampas grass. Hold a steam iron about 2–3
inches above it and heat it gently with steam to that the twigs were softer.

2. Gently separate the fluffy twigs into two sides evenly.

3. Cover the grass with another sheet of paper, keeping its shape and touch
it with an iron 1-2 sec without pressing, so that it retains its shape, and the
twigs remain fluffy. Follow the photo tutorials below.

4. Cut off all the ends with scissors, giving the bush a shape Christmas
Tree. Also shorten the stem as much as possible.

5. It remains to tie the loop at the top and decorate it to your taste. You can
attach at the top a star, snowflake, bow, etc. To create ornaments use
various paper, sequins, beads, ribbons and your imagination.
