- Graduation Thesis “Playground steel cover and Car Shed construction”, Steel Structural individual graduation project,
September 2020 – June 2021
Supervised by Dr. Mohamed Mohamadin KhalafAllah , former president of SCU and associate professor in structural
engineering. The project dimensions are 80*85 meters. (dead – live – wind) loads were taken into consideration. The analysis was
made by STAAD.Pro v8i ss6 to get straining actions. The design philosophy was according to Eurocode and Egyptian code for
design of steel structures with the ASD method. The design criteria depend mainly in steel elements the straining actions
allowable stress, calculation of the slenderness ratio to submit if the section is compact or not.
After designing all members comes the designing of connections part, IDEASTATICA v20 was used to design some connections.
Final step of the project was making details of the connections by TEKLA STRUCTURES to get specified drawings of the
project
