6 skeins or 700 m (750

yds) Gauge
11 stitches and 7 rows
is 4 inches in dc

Dimensions
Approximately 60 inches (152 cm) wide and 38 inches (97 cm)
tall.

Notes
1. Read all the pattern before you begin crocheting.
2. The pattern is worked in rows.
3. The first stitch of every round is worked in the same stitch as
the slip stitch.
The pattern

R1: MR, 3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc in ring, turn  (6)

R2: ch 2, inc in first st, dc in next 2 st(s), (2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc) in

ch3-space, dc in next 2 st(s), inc in last st  (12)

R3: ch 2, inc in first st, dc in each st until the ch3-space, (2 dc,

ch 3, 2 dc) in ch3-space, dc in each st until one to last, inc in
last st

R4-41: repeat row 3

This means you will have 6 more stitches in every new row
and you will end up with 146 stitches total in row 41, without
ever counting the ch3-space. Do not cut the yarn, continue
with the trim.

Trim:

Ch 1, sk 3 st(s), 6 dc in next st, sk 2 st(s), * sl st, sk 2 st(s), 6 dc,

sk 2 st(s) * repeat from * to * until you reach the ch3-space.
Make 8 dc in the ch3-space, sk 2 st(s) and continue again from
* to * .

You will finish with a slip stitch in last stitch, ch 1 and sc

evenly on the top of the shawl (the sides of the dc rows).
It is better to make 2 sc in every dc row. This way you will end
up with 164 sc. Sl st  and fasten off.

The End!
