LAB POLICY AND ANIMAL TESTING GUIDELINES FOR SCHOOLS

Many schools are incorporating a laboratory in their schools and we are receiving many
caution notices with these rooms so we have decided to establish a lab policy to prevent
dangers on students, teachers and animals. Animal testing is an activity that requires taking
into account the following guidelines, to keep everyone in a safe environment at the
laboratory.

ANIMAL WEALFARE
All animals used in lab experiments should be provided with proper care.
This includes providing the necessary things that they need daily, like water,
food and veterinary care if it is necessary. In the same way not all the
animals require the same amount or type of food so it will be necessary to
ask the coordinator of the hall about this information.

PROPER EQUIPMENT
It's necessary to take into account the necessary equipment to study
animals. It is recommended to use gloves and gloggles for the
protection of the hands and eyes. This equipment creates a protective
barrier between the hands and the eyes; and dangerous substances,
preventing students and staff from infections. Also the use of lab coats
and hair nets is not obligatory but is recommended for the absolute
prevention of these infections.

MONITORING AND OVERSIGHT

be accompanied and guided by a person of legal age.

IN CASE OF MEDICAL EMERGENCE

In case of medical emergencies please go to the nursing on the third floor to have medical
care. In case that the nurse is not there you will need to go to the secretary to give the

the School or your parents.

.Have a maximum of 20 persons in the
establishment.

CONSEQUENCES
Is necesary to folow this rules to guarantee the quality and security of this laboratory. Finally
in case of non-compliance with these rules, the necessary measures will be taken to prohibit
