The Talaandig Tribe and its School of Living Tradition are requesting that the Mayor of Lantapan recognize the school as equivalent to a day care center. Recognizing the school in this way would allow the tribe to continue imparting cultural knowledge to young children prior to formal education, without requiring them to repeat years in another day care program before starting kindergarten. The letter asks the mayor's office to provide a list of formal requirements needed for such recognition to be issued.

Mayor of Lantapan Municipality of Lantapan Province of Bukidnon
Dear Mayor Devibar,
The Talaandig Tribe together with its School of Living Tradition (SLT) is writing in your good office seeking Recognition of its school as an equivalent of a Day Care Center. As we are aware, the Municipality has rich cultural heritage which is essential to preserve by continuance of imparting knowledge to the next generations to come and the SLT is one avenue to educate children of tender years up to age prior to their formal education. The recognition of SLT as equivalent of Day Care Center would promote the continuance of imparting cultural knowledge to children as soon as they learn to walk, without need to sacrifice years of repeating or enrolling to another day care prior enrolling to Kindergarten. As such, was existing problem of parents that were worried on enrolling their children again. In lieu of such request for Recognition, we humbly ask your office for formal list of requirements for issuance of such. Your support on this matter will be greatly appreciated. Hoping for your positive response.
