“The lure of homophobia scales to consider the normative assumptions of rigous communities may result
in findings tha are les useful in addressing this problem. In this study, 158 undergrads stems at a
Christian university were surveyed, separately assessing aniudes toward celibate verut sexually active
homosexual men and women, Rests of mall egresion analyses found that participants who emphasized
a persen-behavioe dinction (an acepied tenet of conservative religious ideology) held more negative
tudes toward lesbian women than those who were comparatively more accepting ac didnot emphasize
