INTRODUCTION
Akuvutikiranji, is an organization found and formed by Ten students of Lilongwe University of
Agriculture and Natural Resources with the same Vision, Mission and Ambition to reach out and
touch the needy. This is a non-profit organization that focuses on helping the needy not limited
on students but national as a whole who are unable to help themselves financially and socially
resulting in failure to meet ends of academics and day to day life. It is the sole purpose of this
organization to work hand in hand with the Malawi Government to help all students and people
of this country. Akuvutikiranji stepped in after noticing and realizing that the Government of
Malawi cannot accommodate everyone in this country in its funding and helping the people of
this Nation. As one of the institution that is being funded by the Malawi Government, Lilongwe
University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) stand not to be an exception in
having a good number of needy students. In accordance to this, Akuvutikiranji choose to believe
that with the skills, knowledge and talents acquired from tertiary education as well as inborn
skills found in every person of this country, we can bring a change in everyone’s life by working
from Negatives to Positives. As one of the objectives of this organization, to bring self-reliance,
with various skills imparted in every individual in this organization we strongly believe to work
together as a term and help ourselves to help others
There are several procedures, approaches and steps that the organization is doing in helping
people become self-reliant and also help those who are physically unable.
Akuvutikiranji as the engine to better life, to make one change, the organization believes in
making things right, first in the head by introducing innovative mindset. The organization is
eager to build a generation that is innovative. This will help students and Malawi as a country to
become dedicated, hardworking and self-reliant citizens.
This constitution therefore, gives an overview of some ideas that will help students of this
country of good will and determination to become pillars of this country while helping those in
need.

CHAPTER 1

NAME, PREAMBLE, OBJECTIVES FUNDAMENTALS, AND MEMBERSHIP

ARTICLE 1: DECLARATION
With the power vested in my office as authored upon by the general meeting of the Founders’
council of Akuvutikiranji Organization I hereby declare, adopt and approve this constitution on
behalf of the Akuvutikiranji as voted for by the Executive and Founders’ council on this 2nd day
of December in the year of our Lord two thousand and eighteen (2018).

ARTICLE 2: SUPREMACY
This constitution shall be the supreme law of the members of Akuvutikiranji. Any constitution of
the said organisation that is inconsistent with the constitution shall be void to the extent of the
inconsistency.

ARTICLE 3: PREAMBLE
Akuvutikiranji;
The Organization shall be guided; by the principles of democracy, the universal declaration of
human rights and the Africa charter on human and peoples’ rights;
Akuvutikiranji shall recognize that the management of the University is vested in the University
Council as embodied in the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources Act and
of course in agreement with Malawi constitution.
ARTICLE 4: NAME
The Organization shall be Known as AKUVUTIKIRANJI (the name will change depending on
the approved name of the institution)
