THE APPROACH OF GRADE 12 STEM STUDENTS TO

OVERCOME PHYSICS DIFFICULTIES AND IMPLICATIONS

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE

1. According to Bhaskara (2017) “Students Problem-Solving Difficulties and Implications in

Physics: An Empirical Study on Influencing Factors” that researchers have uncovered a plethora
of unique instruments for evaluating conceptual understandings, problem solving, beliefs, and
attitudes concerning physics in the twenty-first century. Nonetheless, there is a scarcity of a
wide range of evaluation instruments for physics problem solving.

2. According to Alghadari (2020) “Factors Affecting Senior High School Students to Solve Three-
Dimensional Geometry Problem"s”, that Geometry mastery is a must for high school students,
affected by several factors such as learning approach (LA), gender, level of basic geometry
competencies (BGC) and level of mathematical self-efficacy (MSE) among others.

3. According to Sartika (2018) “Analyzing Students’ Problem-Solving Difficulties on Modern

Physics”, that the ability to solve problems is the most crucial quality that physicists should
possess. The need for study on problem-solving skills in physics education was critical because
Physics students must grasp topics and know how to put them together. Those who Students
would use their creativity to tackle the physics challenge.

4. According to Habibi (2019) “The Rasch-rating scale model to identify learning difficulties of
physics students based on self-regulation skill”, that a total of 126 potential physics teachers
were observed for one semester. Self-project has been utilized as a learning approach. Data
was collected using 20 rating scale items and then quantitatively examined to determine the
feasibility of measuring self-regulation skills.

5. According to Bouchee (2021) “Towards a better understanding of conceptual difficulties in

introductory quantum physics courses” that Quantum physics (QP), along with Einstein's theory
of general relativity, is considered one of the cornerstones of contemporary physics. QP is a
necessary hypothesis for comprehending nature on the tiniest level.
