MOVIE REFLECTION: THE DREAMSELLER

As I gave "The Dreamseller" a second thought. The story is incredible because the

message was so powerful, I feel devastated after viewing this. The film's message is that many

people have forgotten their basic humanity because of consumerism and materialism and that

many people in positions of authority just care about their own interests and not the betterment of

society. Our society is "empty," and our values are fading. Mostly, it served as a valuable lesson

about the things we choose to cherish and how doing so causes us to lose the people we need to

truly and unconditionally love.

The principle in life that was reinforced to me in the movie is when we encounter Death

by Rejection. According to the movie, each individuals dies when they are no longer relevant or

valuable, and I was so guilty of neglecting or ignoring individuals in the past. Also, the movie

teaches me to love and cherish everyone around me since you never know what sort of war, they

are through in their daily life.

Furthermore, I believe that the human brokenness, sufferings, and evils that we

experience reinforce the existence of God. For me, I believe that God enters my life through my

brokenness. Being broken makes me realize how dependent I am on God and how much I need

Him in my life. I believed that all of the evil and suffering in my life was the result of my desire,

rather than God.
