1.0 Introduction
This design note deals with the design of PEDESTRIAN UNDERPASS - BOX TYPE at chainage Km 512+960
The clear span of the PEDESTRIAN UNDERPASS - BOX TYPE considered for design is 7 m
The clear vent (min) of the PEDESTRIAN UNDERPASS - BOX TYPE considered for design is 3.62 m
The clear cover of reinforcement is considered as 75 mm on earth face and 45 mm on other than earth face.

MATERIALS:
The following materials used for RCC Slab structure shall be as per below,
• Grade of concrete has been considered as below,
o For RCC Structure…………….… M30
o Grade of Steel has been considered for Fe500
DURABILITY
Environmental exposure condition for the structure is considered as “Moderate” as defined in
Table 14.1 of IRC:112.2011
