Different Types of Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Fittings for Water Lines.

Description Picture

Coupling - PVC Couplings connect two PVC

pipe segments inline to extend pipe lengths.
They are also used to add breakdown points
within your PVC structure.

Elbow - The PVC elbow 90 is a female solvent

weld joint that connects two pipes of the same
size. The PVC elbow allows a 90° change in
direction to assist turning corners in a pipeline.

Caps - The beginning or end of the pipeline to

stop the water flow and direct water toward
the open end as part of a complete drainage
system, the PVC cap closes off the end of the
pipeline to stop water flow.

Tee - PVC tee is also called PVC fitting tee or

tee PVC pipe fitting. PVC Tee joint is used at
the branch pipe of main pipe. It has three
openings, that is, one import and two exports,
or two imports and one export.

Tee Threaded - It features a tee-shaped design

with female threads on each end and a male
thread in the center, making it easy to connect
PVC pipes at a 90-degree angle.

Male Adapter - PVC Male Adapters are for

adapting from a threaded connection to a
solvent-welded or glued PVC pipe or fitting
connection, i.e: connecting hose or tubing to
rigid PVC piping.

Female Adapter - Female adapter is a

plumbing fitting that allows you to connect
two sections of PVC tubing and pipe. The
female adapter features two 3 inch
connections, a female threaded connection on
one side and a slip fit (PVC Socket) connection
on the other.
45° Elbow - PVC 45° Elbow used in order to
offset obstacles. Less static pressure loss than
a 90° elbow. Has belled ends for duct
connections.

Elbow Threaded - An Elbow Thread is a type of

pipe fitting fitted between the two lengths of
the pipe allows the fluid to change the
direction. It can only connect with a pipe with
threaded.

Bushing Reducer - bushing reducer are used

for connecting two pipes of different sizes. The
larger diameter of the bushing fits inside of the
larger pipe.

Cleanout PVC - A cleanout is a vertical pipe

connected to the underground sewer line.
They are typically located near the home and
close to the property line. It has a removable
cap for ease of maintenance access.

Coupling - PVC couplings are one of the

simplest and most inexpensive types of PVC
fittings. Couplings are a very short lengths of
pipe or tube applied in the piping system.
These couplings find use to connect the pipes
and to adjust the thickness of the tubing. They
also help to patch broken or leaking pipes.

45° Elbow - An 45° elbow is a pipe fitting

installed between two lengths of pipe or
tubing to allow a change of direction.

90° Elbow - The PVC elbow 90 is a female

solvent weld joint that connects two pipes of
the same size. The PVC elbow allows a 90°
change in direction to assist turning corners in
a pipeline.

P-Trap - A P-trap is a bend in a drain and waste

pipe with a specific purpose. That bend in the
pipe contains a pocket of water, which blocks
toxic, foul-smelling sewer gases (like methane)
from traveling through the pipe into your
home.
Spigot Elbow - The end connection of a fitting
to be assembled into another fitting is called
the "Spigot." The spigot end of a fitting has the
same outside diameter as the pipe.

Tee – PVC tees are a fitting with three ends;

two in a straight line and one on the side at a
90-degree angle. Tees allow a line to be split
into two separate lines with a 90-degree
connection. Also, tees can connect two lines
into one main line. They are also often used
for PVC structures.

Tee Reducer - Reducing tee fittings have two

larger sockets and one smaller socket. Our
durable reducing tee fittings are ideal for
sanitary system installations, which require
long runs of PVC pipe and many branches and
turns to accommodate different yard layouts,
landscape features, and building foundations.

U – Bend - The meaning of U-BEND is a bend in

a pipe that contains water and that prevents
gas from passing through the pipe.

Wye - Wye pipe fittings join one pipe to

another a specific angle or degree from one
another. Furthermore, they referred to as
lateral connections. These pipe fittings are Y-
shaped, as their name suggests. Three
openings that are connected to one another
are seen in Wye pipe fittings at 450 degrees.

Reducing Wye - A Reducing Wye is used to

connect two reducing Connect the branch line
to a horizontal drain pipe. This is another
popular pipe wye variation to be a popular
type of pipe and tube fitting used in There are
numerous applications. A decreasing wye is
also called as “Y-bend”.
