A pleasant morning to everyone gathered here today.
BE AN ADVOCATE FOR PEACE in our country!
We the youth of today should work hand in hand to build awareness for peace and not war in the Philippines. We should learn to give prominence to the rights and protection of boys and girls affected by armed conflicts. We truly believe and are aware on the devastating effects of war to mankind – specially us the youth and the children and our environment, hence war should be ended for us to live peacefully and harmoniously and grow up the normal life that we ought to have. Children and the youth suffer from the consequences of conflict or war such as poverty, unemployment, poor governance and the disintegration of families and communities hence war should be ended as much as possible to avoid the possible effects of war as we have seen also in other countries today. Rehabilitation and reintegration is particularly crucial for the children and youth who have been associated and with armed groups in order to break cycles of violence and to find a NEW EXISTENCE after a life of conflict and distress. As a youth, we plead for leaders to sit down and come to the table to discuss issues and concern and arrive at a mutually agreeable solution for conflicting parties. a BE A PEACE MAKER, NOT A WAR MAKER!
