Nick and I are a married couple, but we are always too busy with our
own jobs to talk to each other. One day we planned to have a holiday
together.
"Hey, what do you think if we spend our holiday time in Bali?", I said.
"Emm, how about Lombok? I think Bali is too mainstream," said Nick.
"Hmmm, I think it is a great idea; we never go to Lombok," I answered

Finally, we agreed to spend our holiday in Lombok.

When the holiday came, we flew to Lombok Island. In the airport, we

met a local tour guide and he offered to accompany us while in
Lombok.
"Hello, guys. Do you need a hand?", Roger said.
"Oh, we're from Jakarta, and this is our first visit to Lombok," I replied.
"Welcome to Lombok, guys. I think you’ll need a guide here. I can do
it for you if you want."
"That’s a good idea, I think. We'll be happy if you want to be our
guide," Nick said
"It is an honor for me, guys."

"This is our hotel, guys. Wait a minute, I’ll take your room key at the
receptionist."

sexy."
"Huh? Are you out of your mind? You say that in front of your
husband," Nick said.
"Relax, I just said what’s on my mind; don’t take it seriously," I said.
"But don't you understand how I feel? And how dare you say that in
front of me?"
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean it that way."
"Hmm okay".
After the argument, we slept for the rest of the day.

The next day, we continued our holiday with Roger but the situation
felt awkward because Nick had lost his mood because of what I said
last night.

"Hello, guys. How’s your night? Are you ready to explore Lombok?"
Roger asked.
"Of course, let's go!" I answered.
"Let's get in the car; I'll take you to the pink beach."

When we arrived at the Pink Beach, Roger showed us around. I was

distracted the whole time by Roger’s clean and muscular feet. We
spent the entire day at the beach until late afternoon when we
returned to the hotel.
When we arrived at the hotel, Nick said to me that he wanted to go
back to Jakarta early because he didn’t enjoy the trip.
"Let's go back to Jakarta tomorrow," Nick said.
"What? Are you joking? We just arrived here yesterday," I said.
"I am serious; I am not excited anymore."

Finally, the next day, we met Roger and told him that we wanted to go
back to Jakarta early.

I continued to unpack our luggage because they had a lot of things.

After we were done, we enjoyed our luxury room and we started to
make love because we were very busy with our own jobs and didn't
have much time to have quality time.

The next day, before we started our holiday, we had breakfast, and
then Nick asked, "How was last night?"
"That was incredible. Let’s do it again tonight," I smiled.

My boss unexpectedly called me during our vacation to discuss an

urgent matter.
"Hello Lauren, I'm sorry to interrupt your vacation, but this is
something urgent. The company is not in a good shape. Would you
like to return to Jakarta?" said my boss.

I told him about the situation that I have to go back to Jakarta.

"Nick, I have bad news." I said.
"What news?" said Nick.
"We have to go back to Jakarta. My boss told me that I have to be there
tomorrow to manage some stuff. The company is in a bad shape right now.”

It is a shame that we suddenly have to go back to Jakarta when we had not

enjoyed our holiday in Lombok to the fullest.
So we are back in Jakarta. However, our relationship was getting better
because of the time we spent together during our holiday.

"But I'm on vacation with my husband in Lombok, Sir. Can I ask my

colleagues to help handling the problem?" I asked.
"Oh, sure, sorry to disturb your vacation time."
The next day, suddenly, Roger called me and invited me to lunch, but
only the two of us without Nick. I agreed and was thrilled to find the
shittiest way possible to have lunch with Roger without Nick
knowing.

My excuse was that I wanted to meet an old friend who happened to

be on vacation in Lombok, and Nick allowed me to go out alone. I met
Roger at the agreed-upon restaurant but while we were eating, Nick
suddenly appeared. He was furious and slapped me in the restaurant.
Nick then left me and packed his things to go home, leaving me in
Lombok. That’s how my marriage ended.
