2. Safety
This section describes the safety risks and potential hazards related to the use of the products
described in this document. We recommend to carefully read and understand it before beginning
any work.
Misuse of the products may create risk of injury or damage. Tattile is not responsible for any con-
sequence due to negligence in reading the safety instructions and the relevant manuals.
Safety Instructions
l Mount the device on a mechanically stable structure.
l The camera shall be reachable only by maintenance operator.
l Always observe the polarities of the power supplies and the power supply requirements spe-
cified for the product.
l Turn off all electrical power before making or breaking any electrical connections. Making or
breaking connections when power is on can results in damages to the device.
l Do not place the power supply and signal cables parallel to cables carrying high-current
switching voltages.
Warning:
The IR illuminator is a source of optical radiation. High levels of artificial optical radiation
can cause damage to both eyes and skin. Exposure limit values have been drawn up for
such hazards.
Every light system is placed within a Risk Group, which defines the level of risk when the
light is used normally, higher level, higher risk group number, from 1 to 3. When the light
emits less than the exposure limit values it is categorized as Exempt Group. Evaluation of
risk group is made at 0.2 m distance, that is the minimum hazard distance considered.
The hazard distance (HD) is the point furthest from the illuminator at which the Exempt
Group exposure limit is exceeded.

Illuminators exceeding Exempt Group limits shall be installed as detailed in the figure below, at a dis-
tance L>HD, to avoid any risk to the public.
Operator or maintenance staff working in front of the camera, facing the illuminator at a distance less
than HD, must use appropriate shielding or eye protection, as indicated on the labeling.
3. General Characteristics
3.1. Features
The BASIC Series is an ANPR (ALPR) smart camera designed for license plate recognition, with a
maximum input power of 12 W, the line features a Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) interface to minimize
the installation and maintenance time.
l All the cameras are equipped with a new generation of full HD sensors for reading reflective
and non-reflective plates.
l Thanks to local buffering of information, cameras can operate also in case of disruption in
the data connection (stand-alone).
l The devices are extra compact, to reduce the installation impact.
l The cameras are easy to install and do not require an external IR lighting.
l Connectors are vandal proof.

FCC lation:
l Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for com-
pliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
l This device contains FCC ID: 2AULGT17950 ü This device complies with Part 15 of
the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device
may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference
received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
l This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B
digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to
provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential install-
ation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and,

receiver is connected.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
l This product complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncon-
trolled environment. The device should be installed and operated with minimum dis-
tance of 20 cm between the radiator and your body.
3.7. Disposal
Packaging materials are recyclable. Do not dispose packaging into unsorted waste but
recycle it.
At the end of their life cycle, all the electronic products must be sent to a Waste Electrical
and Electronic Equipment recycling center!
Info: For more information about the purchased device model refer to the Product Label.
Info: You can use the Pole Mounting Adapter only for a pole with dimensions between 65
mm and 140 mm
Info: Max wire section accepted by connector terminal block: 1.5 mm2 (AWG 24).
Info: To guarantee the best connection of the wires use insulated bootlace ferrules with
plastic collar.
2. Remove the left cover being careful not to damage the gasket.
3. Open the cable glands and insert the power/signals and Ethernet cables through them.
3. If insulated bootlace ferrules are used, crimp them on the bare copper of each conductor.
Warning: Be sure to correctly crimp the copper. Never leave bare copper.
4. Insert the conductors into the Connector terminal block, in accordance with the pinout
described in the Chapter Power supply, signal and I/O interface table.
2. Sort your wires in the proper pin-out configuration and insert them into the Plug Connector.
2. Make sure you place and correctly bend the cable inside the compartment to prevent it from
being damaged when closing the left cover.
4. Reassemble the left cover being careful not to damage the gasket and tighten the Allen-
screws respecting a tightening torque of 2.5 Nm.
An installation environment with EMI and ESD can affect the quality of the data trans-
mitted by the camera, or even cause the interruption of data transfer.
n Do not position cables parallel to the high-current wires, switching voltages (e.g.,
electrical devices that employ switching technology).
n Install the device and cables as far as possible from devices that may generate
sparks.
Info: The device can either be fixed directly to a wall, mounted on a vertical pole using
the pole mounting adapter or mounted on a horizontal pole using the pole mounting
adapter + the horizontal pole mounting adapter.
2. Fix the optional Pole Mounting Adapter (Code T19841) to the pole using the threaded bar
included in the package with a torque of 14 Nm.
