“Why School Uniforms Must Be Required In Schools”

For years, there has been debate about whether students should wear uniforms

to school. There are those who believe that wearing uniforms makes a student look

more professional and polished, while others think that it restricts creativity and

individuality. In some cases, students benefit greatly from wearing school uniforms.

Wearing school uniforms gives a lot of benefits to students. There are numerous

reasons why wearing school uniforms must be required.

First of all, uniforms help to create a sense of community. When all the students

are wearing the same thing, it helps to build a sense of togetherness and unity. This is

especially important in large schools with a diverse student body. Another reason why

school uniforms must be required is that uniforms help level the playing field. When all

the students wear the same clothes, the socioeconomic differences that often exist

between students are eliminated. This is especially important in schools where there is

a large gap between the wealthy and the poor. Third, wearing a uniform is a must in our

schools because it reduces the prevalence of violence like bullying and gang activity.

Uniformed students are less likely to be picked on for their clothing because it makes it

difficult for students to bully others for being different. Furthermore, students who wear
school uniforms are less likely to be involved with a gang than those who do not. This

can help students be safe while they are at school. Fourth, wearing school uniforms

helps to instill a sense of discipline in students. Without uniforms, it can be difficult to tell

who is a student and who is not. While wearing uniforms, intruders who do not belong

on campus are easily identified and, thus, do not pose a great threat to the students,

which contributes to the school's safety. Finally, wearing school uniforms would be more

economical in the sense that students would have to wear the same clothing every day,

which would reduce laundry chores. School dresses are also designed to be washed

and worn repeatedly. Not to mention that these can be and are passed down to younger

brothers and sisters, siblings of relatives, or friends. As a result, school uniforms are a

money saver.

In conclusion, wearing school uniforms has a lot of benefits for students. School

uniforms help create a sense of community, help level the playing field, reduce bullying

and gang activity, help instill a sense of discipline in students, and are more economical

for students. Thus, wearing school uniforms must be required.
