How Abomination may return in

Thunderbolts? Possible She-Hulk

theories
The second episode of She-Hulk was a slow burn, yet it revealed one of the oldest MCU characters.
Emil Blonsky’s Tim Roth aka Abomination made his appearance as the prisoner of the Department of
Damage Control. This isn’t exactly a comeback for Abomination as the character previously appeared
in 2021s hang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings.

Abomination is a pivotal character in Marvel comics. The raging villain is not just a foe of the Green
Goliath but has also fought the Avengers. Tim Roth was on standby in the Infinity saga. However, he
soon could be a part of the bigger storylines in MCU.

At San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel President Kevin Feige announced The Thunderbolts, and
Abomination is the potential member of the roster along with Baron Zemo and U.S. Agent. Many
rumors have surfaced on the internet stating the inclusion of Abomination in the Thunderbolts.

She-Hulk episode showcases Tim Roth as a reformed prisoner who needs his freedom

Jennifer Walters is appointed as the leading lawyer of the new superhero law department at GLK &
H and the first client is Emil Blonsky. Captured in a high-security prison of DODC, the episode built up
as a classic Clarice Starling meets Hannibal Lecter, with Walters even joking about the same.
However, we learn that Blonsky is changed, he is in his human form, reformed, and shows regret for
his action.

Blonsky reveals that he was a decorated British soldier, who was told that Hulk is a bad guy and
hence did what he could to fulfill the direct command of the American Government. After much
contemplation, She-Hulk accepts Abomination’s case. Her happiness is cut short after a News clip
showcases the footage of Abomination’s underground fight against Wong at the Golden Dagger club.

Court grants Abomination freedom in return for his service in Thunderbolts

We know that She-Hulk aka Jennifer Walters is an amazing lawyer and will fight tooth and nail to get
her client free. But the recent stint of her client can land her in trouble. Blonsky’s hope for freedom
looks bleak but isn’t impossible. Walters can make a deal with the US Government to grant freedom
to Blonsky in return for his help. He can then be enrolled in Thunderbolts a government-controlled
organization.

Many fans did not like the aspect of a reformed Abomination. Perhaps, the character’s reformation
could be a pivotal aspect of the Thunderbolts movie. In the comics, man members of Thunderbolts
are good-hearted or have a change of heart and hence choose to oppose the organization. Beside,
Yelena, Abomination could be one of those members.

The news portal TechRadar asked about the future of Abomination to She-Hulk writer Jessica Gao.
The writer stated:

“I don't think I'm allowed to say”

Gao further added:

“I don't want to end up in an unmarked grave at Disneyland! But there is more Blonsky in She-Hulk –
I believe I'm allowed to say that. So don't worry, it doesn't just end there from where you watched."

The second episode of She-Hulk is now streaming on Disney Plus. The show features Tatiana
Maslany as She-Hulk, Jameela Jamil as Titania, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Tim Roth as Abomination,
Benedict Wong as Wong, Ginger Gonzaga as Nikki Ramos, and many more.
