REASONS
To gather data about physical features and characteristics of a particular area of land.
To gather land ownership data
Bathymetric survey data to know the depth and contours of the Liffey riverbed

To determine the geology, groundwater and soil conditions of the area where the new
crossing will be constructed.

To identify and survey all structures, which may be structurally damaged as a result of
the works, prior to, and after the works taking place on site.

To identify the potential impact on ecology.


To determine if any invasive species are present within or in the vicinity of the site or any
of the proposed works and to include a separate report on the findings of the surveys.
To identify and evaluate the potential impact of construction or development works on
archaeological, cultural, or architectural heritage sites as well as possible mitigation
measures.
