PAST TENSE IN NARRATIVE TEXT

Purbasari and Lutung Kasarung


When Purbasari was exiled (be exile) in the forest, there was (be) a big problem in Khayangan.
Prince Guru Minda didn’t want (not want) to marry the heavenly nymphs as ordered (order) by
his mother Sunan Ambu. Prince Guruminda only wanted (want) a woman whose beauty is
equivalent to his mother Sunan Ambu.

before sunrise.

Malin Kundang
Once upon a time, on the north coast of Sumatra __________ (live) a poor woman and his son.

up as a skillful young boy. He always _____________ (help) his mother to earn some money.
