Gathering of Data:

Data collection is the process of gathering and measuring information on variables of interest, in an
established systematic fashion that enables one to answer stated research questions, test hypotheses, and
evaluate outcomes.

Sample of Data collection Methods:

Interviews.
Questionnaires and surveys.
Observations.
Documents and records.
Focus groups.
Oral histories.
For Analyzing Data:

Data collection and analysis tools are defined as a series of charts, maps, and diagrams designed to
collect, interpret, and present data for a wide range of applications and industries.

For Interpreting Data:

Data interpretation is the process of reviewing data through some predefined processes which will
help assign some meaning to the data and arrive at a relevant conclusion. It involves taking the result
of data analysis, making inferences on the relations studied, and using them to conclude.

Data Interpretation is the process of making sense out of a collection of data that has been processed.
This collection may be present in various forms like bar graphs, line charts and tabular forms and other
similar forms and hence needs an interpretation of some kind.
