Baskin-Robbins

Introduction
The largest chain of ice cream and specialty bakery restaurants in the world is Baskin-Robbins.
Burt Baskin and Irv Robbins, two brothers-in-law, discovered it in Glendale, California, in 1945.
The company, which has its headquarters in Canton, Massachusetts, is well known for the
diversity of ice cream flavors it offers. Its renowned "31 flavors" concept was built around the
premise that a person may have a new flavor of ice cream each day for a month.
The renowned little pink spoons were created by Baskin and Robbins (BR) with the primary
objective of allowing customers to sample a variety of flavors in order to determine their
preferences. The company has so far spread more than a thousand flavors over the world,
localizing and adapting their products to suit the preferences of the local market. Dunkin brands
Inc., which also franchisees Dunkin Donuts, owns BR.
