REPORT ON INTERVIEWS FOR INTERNAL CONTROL OFFICER
A vacancy was advertised for the role of Internal Control Officer for which over Thirty-Five
(35) applications was received via the official G-mail account.
From these application, eight (8) candidates were shortlisted and seven (7) were eventually
Interviewed on 6th April, 2023. The shortlisted candidates all displayed a high level of potential.
However, considering their experience, understanding of the role, motivation and ability to adapt
to Zavati Group culture, three (3) candidates were selected to move on to the next stage. The
candidates are:
1. Francis Uzoma: He is a Chartered Accountant with an educational background in
Accounting (B.Sc). He has approximately 2 years’ work experience in Tax advisory &
Audit where he specialized in reviewing financial statements, preparing audit reports and
computing tax return. Francis appears to be a very driven and articulate individual. with a
lot of passion towards finance, accounting and auditing. He has a good understanding of
the responsibilities of the role and with more training has a high potential to thrive in the
position.
2. Rasheed Rafindadi Abdurrahman (Male): His Education includes a BSc in
Accounting, he is a chartered accountant (Pending Induction), and has skills in Tax
Returns Preparation, Microsoft Office Suites, and Financial Projection. Applicant has a
minimum of 2 years’ experience in reviewing accounts for discrepancies, reporting asset
utilization, and recommending changes in operations and financial activities. Lastly, from
his answers during the interview the applicant demonstrated good technical skills, good
communication skills, initiative, and good interpersonal skills. He was well prepared for
the interview, gave good responses to the questions and showed keen interest in the
position.
3. Abdulrahman Salaha Bello: Her Education includes a First Class Degree in
Accounting, she is a chartered accountant (Induction Pending) she has skills in Email,
Social media and Blogging, Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point and Access)
Spreadsheets and Databases. Applicant has one (1) year experience in accounting and
internal control procedures, risk assessment procedures, identifying business risks and
has fluency in IASs and IFRS. Lastly, from her answers during the interview the
applicant has demonstrated competency, initiative, and is self-motivated. She was well
prepared for the interview, gave intelligent responses to the questions and showed keen
interest in the position.

The next stage of this recruitment is the three (3) candidates meeting with the EMC for final
evaluation and selection, scheduled to hold on 12th April, 2023 at 11:00am.
