Peeku was happy because he was gifted with a clever mind, a
strong beak, a tough body and wings to fly in the sky.

Ans: The white feathers and yellow beak of the swan makes it look beautiful.

Q3. Is Mithoo happy with her beautiful colours? Give one reason for your
answer.

Ans: No, Mithoo was not happy with her beautiful colours.
Mithoo was not happy because Krish, the peacock had many
colours on his feathers and looked majestic.
Q4. Why is the majestic peacock sad?

Ans: The majestic peacock was sad because he was caged for people to admire
his beauty. The peacock could not enjoy his freedom.

Ans: Yes, I feel freedom is important because freedom gives us real joy and
happiness.

Q6. What does Peeku realise at the end of the story?

Ans: At the end of the story, Peeku realised that unnecessary comparisons with
others make one sad. When things one has is not valued, unhappiness and
discontentment takes place.

Mithoo felt that Krish looked majestic with the colourful feathers and was
jealous of the peacock's beauty as it made her forget her own.
