How to Create a Profile in the

Participate Learning Admissions Community of Practice

Welcome to the Admissions community of practice! As you begin this experience and start connecting
with us and others in this space, we encourage you to create your profile by completing the steps below.

After you create your community account and log in, look in the upper right for the round icon with your initials. Click the
down arrow beside this icon and select Profile. Then complete parts one through five:

Part one: Profile picture

● Click the blue Manage account button and select Change profile
picture.
● Upload a photo and then click Save.

Part two: Name

● Click the blue Manage account button and select Edit profile.
● In the section entitled Name, be sure that you include both your first
and last name. This is important because it is how people will find you
in the community and the name that will be attached to all of the
credentials you earn in the community.

Part three: Email

● In the Email section, add your personal email address. This is the
email address where you receive all email communications from us.

Part four: Bio

● In the Bio section, write an introduction that includes the following:
● Your home country
● Where you teach
● The grade(s) and subject(s) you teach
● Some personal details so others can get to know you! Examples:
family, hobbies, and anything else you want to share!
● After you finish your bio, click the blue Save button at the bottom. This
will save all the updated info for your Name, Email, and Bio sections.

Part five: Social media

● Click the blue Manage account button and select Edit profile again.
● Click on the Social tab at the top of the page, underneath the Edit profile title.
● In the space provided, add the link to your Twitter page if you have an account. If you do not have a Twitter account,
you may link to another social media account. Please be sure to add the entire link so others can click on it, be taken
to your page, and follow you.
● Click the blue Save button.
