You have rented a flat in Palma with your friend from Barcelona because you are
going to start at University. You contacted with an estate agency to find the best
flat. But now, only a few days before moving into your new flat they have called
you saying that the flat is no longer available and you will have to search for
another one

Write an e-mail to your friend explaining what has happened. Write your feelings
about the message you received and suggest possible alternatives. Write about
50 words. You have 10 minutes.

I’m writing to tell you that we haven’t flat. They call me saying that our flat is
unavailable. What a rip-off! This flat was ours and now no! It´s ridiculous! My
alternative is that we search other, although we don’t like it so much…

Dear Sir or Madam,

Thanks for the call yesterday. I have talked with Miguel and I am writing to
express my dissatisfaction with the problem of flat. My friend and me are very
worried, because we start the university in one week and now, we have not any
home where live. It is a disappointment, because this flat was already ours and I
do not understand what happened.

I do not know if the flat is of a particular person or your. In any case, I would like
to know if there is any possibility of get it back. If that is not the case, what
possibilities have we? Must have any solution or compensation for we.

I would like you look into this problem very seriously, please. I expect to be fully
compensated with other flat in the same conditions.
