I was 250+ hours in before I realized...

That Harv's island is worth a moment of my time. I figured
you only go there to take pictures of your island residents. I
must have missed the letter he sent me, and now I've
gotten all the vendors going thanks to some bells I saved
up!

Do you have anything else that took a long time to realize?

I don't want to miss anything

Hold R or L to speed up dialogue.

Spam A to speed up crafting

Spam B to skip Kapp'n's songs

If you keep your recycling box below 10 items, there's

a chance random furniture will show up there that you
can take (including things like the sloppy series of
furniture that only comes from the recycling box)

Trash cans work and are an excellent way to get rid of

fake art

Mario pipes also work

Interact with everything. You never know what ends

up being a wardrobe

Just for fun, visit beetle fight club in the museum at

night on the big tree once you've donated some of the
summer beetles

If you have the DLC, you can get free turnips every
Monday after unlocking the hospital, as Daisy Mae's
grandmother will be there for her weekly check up.

If Redd on Harv's Island only have fakes, you can buy

one of them, and he'll have replaced it with a new art
piece the following day, which might potentiallly be
real.

Also on Harv's Island, when you get Katrina, always

have at least 11.000 bells on you. She'll take 1000 to
read your fortune. If you get a bad fortune, she takes
10.000 to neutralise it, and will send you a gift the
following day.

You'll shake 5 trees daily that has wasps, and two that
has gifts.

Burry 10.000 bells in the glowing hole that shows up

by the glowing spot that you'll find daily on your
island, and a money tree will grow in a few days, and
you'll be able to shake 30.000 from it before it turns
into a standard tree.

You can run. That one took me forever to realise, it

feels like.

This is embarrassing but i literally had no idea the
changeroom at the able sisters was usable until
almost a year into playing when a friend i was online
with walked into it- i was impatient and skipped the
dialogue that would have told me about it blew my
mind when I saw their inventory was WAY bigger than
just what they had on display lmfao

If you have HHP, go to a restaurant every day. The
chef will give you cooking DIY.
Also, you can get three DIYs a day from villagers.

TBF it used to only be for trying out setups/taking
pics. The rest was added with the 2.0 update, so
depending on what info you were looking at online you
could’ve only seen outdated stuff

Once you reach 3 stars and complete project KK
you get to open stalls for NPCs to sell stuff:
Katrina (fortunes), Sahara, Cyrus (customizes any
furniture you can't customize yourself), Leif, Redd,
Kicks, and Tortimer (let's you access your
storage). They refresh their stock every Monday
and if you buy art from Redd there he'll put up
something new the next day so you cycle through
a lot of art faster than waiting for his boat
