Vodafone Group Plc is a multinational telecommunications company founded in the United

Kingdom in 1983. It is one of the world's largest telecommunications companies, operating

in over 200 countries and serving more than 450 million customers.

Vodafone was founded in 1983 as a subsidiary of Racal Electronics Plc. In 1991, it

became a separate company and launched its first mobile network in the UK. Over the

years, Vodafone expanded its operations to other countries and acquired several

companies, including Mannesmann AG.

Vodafone offers mobile and fixed-line services, broadband, and Internet of Things (IoT)

services.

In the fiscal year 2022, Vodafone reported revenue of €45.58 billion and a profit of €2.624

million. Vodafone's stock is listed on the London Stock Exchange.

From January 2023 the new CEO and CFO is Margherita Della Valle.

The chairman is Jean-François van Boxmeer

The company has a board of directors that includes Val Gooding CBE, Sir Crispin Davis,

Dame Clara Furse DBE, Simon Segars among others.

The telecommunications industry includes companies that provide voice, data, and

Internet services to customers. The industry is expected to continue to grow as new

technologies like 5G are deployed and demand for data and connectivity increases.
