a. determine the month using a calendar,


b. enumerate the months in a year in the right order,
c. identify the celebrations held in each month; and
d. show appreciation of being able to recognize months of the year.

1. Presentation

was excited because next month, he would go
to Zambales to spend his vacation at his
cousin’s place. When the month of May came,
he went to Zambales. There, he visited his
cousin Marco. Marco took him to the farm
field and they also played on the grassland
there. They also went fishing. He did not
notice that it was already the end of May and
he had to go home.
He went back home on June. He was so
excited and he couldn’t wait to tell his friends
what he experienced during his vacation in
Zambales.

What did he do after their classes ended?

When did he go back home?  He went on a vacation.

2. Posing a Problem
In the story, Vincent was excited after
classes because he would go for a

classes. So, what month would Vincent go (let the pupils think and solve the problem)
for a vacation?

3. Discussion
In the story, Vincent’s classes ended in
April then he went to Zambales in May
then stayed there for one month so he
went home in June. (write the months on (the pupils summarize the story in

mentioned in it)
