System Administration
• Active Directory system administration
• Active Directory managing of permission of employees user ID
• Ensures that all servers are working well thru memory and performance checking
Antivirus Administration
• Maintaining secured and virus free network as much as possible
• Disseminate reports regarding most frequent virus attacks, infected machines and the likes
• Windows push installation of new antivirus to all employees
• Maintains that all the antivirus are recently updated
• Limit access to storage media and USB drives to all machines to prevent virus outbreak
• Monitors the status of computers through ESET administration console
• Client Setup and Configuration
- Attend to monitoring alerts (e.g. disk alerts, connectivity issues, memory full etc.)
• VCloud/VMware troubleshooting
• Microsoft Azure
• Citrix Netscaler
• Active Directory
- IP Subnetting
- Configure and manage firewall (Cisco ASA, vcloud edge, pfsense, Sonicwall) including Access Rules and
NATs
- Perform Vulnerability scan and build truescan vulnerability scanner machine using vcloud or azure
platform.
• Responsible for the configuration, maintenance and reliable operation of virtualization and servers
• Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate
systems
• Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and
resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
• Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new
or upgrades of IT infrastructure
• Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data
protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
• Liaise with the vendors and support team making sure all user applications, workstations, and
related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
• Flexibility to work beyond working hours depending on criticality of server related issues.
Job Requirements
• System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other related fields are a plus
• With experience on storage, backup, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
• Good analytical skills, resourceful, and able to work under minimum supervision
• Strong sense of ownership for one’s work and takes opportunity to contribute beyond the job
description
• Proactive, flexibility and adoptability to changing work environments, task assignments and
priorities
•Provide support services to client accounts end users experiencing technical problems involving
desktops, laptops, network, firewall, and VPN services through the ticketing system, chat, email or
remote.
•Manage, configure and create firewall policy for existing and new client accounts (Internet access,
HTTP, HTTPS, Mobile SSL VPN, VOIP, Ports, Application Control, Web blocker, VLAN)
•Prepare, setup, configure and deploy desktop computers, laptops and assets for new hire
employees for onsite, hybrid or wfh setup.
•Troubleshoot and isolate daily issues encountered by users whether it is hardware, software or
network related.
•Manage, configure, monitor and maintain network devices(Routing, Switching, VLAN Creation)
•Install, upgrade, and migrate windows workstations and Active directory server(Users and
Computers, GPO, WSUS, DNS)
•Install and setup computer applications & client tools for new hire client staff.
•Escalate issues to Client IT or 3rd party provider if needed/necessary
•Antivirus, web and device control management for WFH computers (Bitdefender, ManageEngine)
•Maintain user and computer security on all systems as per company policy compliance.
•Manage and assetize IT assets & assign deployed assets in microstatus system for accountability
and auditing.
•Network printer and file server management
•Manage and configure wifi connections onsite for management & client access (Ubiquiti)
•Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues. Replace or upgrade computer parts if needed.
•Ensure all tickets handled are closed in a timely manner and have met the standard SLA policy.
•Collaborate with IT engineers from other location sites to resolve issues or projects and provide
additional support remotely if the volume of tickets arises during peak hours.
· Ensures for the successful implementation and maintenance of the defined control standards across
multiple platforms, especially regarding compliance by ITSG units with information security policies.
· Supports networking and security services in LAN, WAN and Internet network infrastructure.
· Manages security devices such as firewall, IDS, anti-virus appliance, including review of activity
monitoring/audit logs and the timely application of patches and fixes.
· Conducts active penetration/vulnerability tests for preventive measures and investigates, resolves
and escalates information security risks/threats and breaches noted/reported to contain damage and
prevent recurrence.
· Coordinates with external parties regarding systems security set-up for non-institutional
applications and servers,
· Performs other duties and functions delegated by Security Administrator Manager or ITSG Head,
Analyze network vulnerability and security incidents, provide guidance for IPS signature
creation.
Reproduce the network attack, create the attack pcaps, develop/QA IPS signatures, and
optimize the signature performance
Develop mitigation strategies and signatures for IPS.
Investigate customer escalations on IPS false positives and false negatives.
Identify automation opportunities and develop new tooling to scale and monitor the
deployment of an in-house threat intelligence architecture;
Take ownership for developing and executing test plans for performance/efficacy
evaluations;
Co-ordinate with internal security teams to manage security response, assist investigations,
and comply with governance, risk management, and compliance requirements
Implement and execute security related initiatives to ensure that all operations and
applications comply with all legal, regulatory, and corporate policies related to security, data
privacy, and data retention
Be a security subject matter expert, provide security-related input to architectural discussions,
decisions, and the overall roadmaps
Implement solutions and security controls to increase protection of privacy, integrity, and
confidentiality in order to achieve or meeting our security requirements
M onitor vulnerabilities and implement solutions to mitigate them without causing service
disruption
Deal with internal and external partners, managing relationship and delivery plans
