PROJECT PROPOSAL

I. Title: Literacy Outreach Program


II. Duration: 72 hours in 3days
III. Proponent: the proponent of my proposal would be 5 person, it includes the duty of each
proponent
IV. Budgetary Requirements: the expended income and expenditure will be 500 pesos

VI. Project Summary

The Philippines ranked the lowest in reading comprehension among the 79


participating nations in the 2018 Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA).
Our educational system in our nation is deplorable. Our educational system is unable to
reach some vulnerable groups, resulting in illiteracy. Illiteracy contributes to a variety of
social issues, including poverty and unlawful activity. As Filipino young, we must solve the
literacy problem in our nation in basic ways. Advocating for education as a youngster is
essential because we are the hope of our future; anything we do today will effect the future,
and it is preferable to do something good to make a positive impact on our future. As a
result, NSTP-LTS students and faculty will perform. Literacy Outreach Program to address
these concerns. This program will focus on reading skills.

A. Project background:

As a Filipino youth, we need to address the issue of literacy in our country with our
simple ways. Advocating for education as a youth is a must because we are considered as
hope of our future, whatever we do today will affect the future and it is better to do
something good to make a good impact for our future. Philippines scored the lowest in
terms of reading comprehension among participating countries. In our country, we have a
poor education system. Our education system cannot reach some marginalized sectors that
results to illiteracy. Illiteracy results to different problems of our society like poverty and
illegal activities.
