Dear parents,

Congratulations! Your child has qualified for Antonio Nariño University’s XLII Colombian Mathematics
Olympiad semifinals.
This round will take place on May 11, 2023 (only date.) The test will be held in person, at Antonio Nariño
University (Nicolás de Federmán campus, Calle 58A #37-94), and will begin at 8:50 a.m.; it will last 3 hours.
Participants will depart from the school on one of our school buses alongside the Head of the Math Dept.,
Adolfo Camacho, who will remain in their company during the competition.

Recommendations:
Bear in mind that students should bring refreshments and sufficient drinks, in view of the duration of the test.
They too must bring a pencil, eraser, sharpener, and paper sheets.
For this activity to take place, we need your consent and authorization for the student to travel from
school to the university, and then back to finish their school day. Please fill out the below permission slip and
have it turned in to the Head of the Math Dept. by Wednesday, May 11. Without your signature on this
document, the student will not be able to participate.

information contained in this newsletter, of which we’ve been made aware and the approval of which we hereby
express. Similarly, we agree with our child’s partaking in the activities detailed above, as well as with an
eventual transfer and medical assistance at my EPS’/prepaid medicine’s medical center, as chosen by the
school, in case of emergency/an accident.

¡Felicitaciones! Su hijo clasificó a la ronda semifinal de la XLII Olimpiada Colombiana de Matemáticas, evento
organizado por la Universidad Antonio Nariño.
La prueba semifinal tendrá lugar el próximo 11 de mayo de 2023 (única fecha). Esta se realizará de
forma presencial en la Universidad Antonio Nariño (sede Nicolás de Federmán, Calle 58A #37-94), e iniciará
a las 8:50 a. m.; tendrá una duración de 3 horas. Los participantes saldrán del colegio en una ruta escolar con
el líder de Matemáticas, Adolfo Camacho, quien permanecerá con ellos durante la competición.

Recomendaciones:
Es importante que los estudiantes lleven onces y suficiente líquido, ya que el examen dura 3 horas. Se
requieren lápiz, papel, tajalápiz y borrador.
Para que esta jornada pueda llevarse a cabo, necesitamos su consentimiento y autorización para el
desplazamiento del estudiante desde el colegio a la universidad, y luego de regreso para terminar la jornada
escolar. Solicitamos diligenciar el desprendible a continuación y entregarlo al líder de Matemáticas el
miércoles 11 de mayo. Sin este documento firmado por los padres, el estudiante no podrá participar.
