Objectives:
1. To evaluate the current production practices and performance of broiler production in small-scale
farms.
Broiler production is an important aspect of the poultry industry, providing a significant source of
protein for human consumption. Small-scale broiler farming has become increasingly popular in recent
years, with many farmers venturing into the business. However, small-scale broiler farming is often
faced with various challenges such as poor production practices, limited access to inputs, and
inadequate technical knowledge. This report aims to assess the production practices and performance
of broiler production in small-scale farms, identify challenges faced by small-scale broiler farmers, and
recommend best practices for small-scale broiler production.
Methodology:
The study will use a cross-sectional survey design to collect data from small-scale broiler farmers in a
selected location. A structured questionnaire will be used to collect data on production practices,
performance, and challenges faced by small-scale broiler farmers. The data collected will be analyzed
using descriptive statistics to determine the current state of broiler production in small-scale farms. The
results of the study will be presented in tables and graphs, and recommendations for best practices will
be made based on the findings.
