Good Day!

We, the students of Grade 9-STE (Science Technology and Engineering) would like to ask for your
approval to conduct a study at your institution. We are currently writing our research paper entitled “The
Effects of House Distance to School to Grade 9-STE Learners’ Academic Performance” which is a
partial fulfillment for our requirements in Research 1. The study aims to assess the effect of distance of
house to school in the Grade 9-STE’s academic performance.

In this regard, we hope that the school administration will allow us to involve selected students from
Grade 9-STE students from this school to take part in the aforementioned study which will be conducted
from 3:15 to 4:15 in the afternoon for about 2 days.

We the researchers will use the results for the completions of the study and will assure that
everything will be kept confidential and anonymous. Should this study be published, only pooled results will
be documented.
