"Choose one teaching model from the course outline. Then,

based on the selected teaching model, discuss how it helped you in
your elementary or high school years in learning and understanding
the lessons taught to you."

I choose Inquiry-based learning because Inquiry-based learning

begins with a question, problem or idea. It involves children in
planning and carrying out investigations, proposing explanations and
solutions, and communicating their understanding of concepts in a
variety of ways. Throughout the inquiry process, children observe,
raise questions, and critique their practices. It is an approach that
encourages collaboration and can be used effectively in a trans-
disciplinary way or in most subject areas.
Inquiry based learning helped me in elementary or high school
by helping me to make my own connections about what I learn. My
curiosity helps me to engage and gain a deeper understanding of
topics and content, instead of primarily memorizing and recalling
rules, ideas or formulas. During this process, I most understand why
the rule or formula works, how the idea was developed, and when
they can apply the rule, formula or idea. Provide opportunities for
me to become more confident and autonomous problem-solvers and
thinkers. It organise for me to experiences extending beyond singular
activities, that can be repeated or returned to, and that lend my
selves to active engagement in purposeful learning.
