POSITION DESCRIPTION – Territory Manager (Residential)

TITLE Residential Territory Manager – Gerflor Australasia

REPORTING TO National Residential Sales Director - Gerflor Australasia

LOCATION Duly appointed State or Territory within Australia

JOB
Position Purpose:
RESPONSIBILTIES This role is responsible for managing and driving profitable business within the nominated
territory (consisting of Major Independent Group stores and stand-alone Independent
retailers) in line with the Gerflor Australasia business plan.

Enviromental Health & Safety


• Contribute to the shaping, leading, and measuring of a positive safety culture.
• Provide Leadership in Risk Management processes.

Sales and Business Management:


• Be completely aligned with the Major Independent Groups business plan to underpin
the Gerflor Australia – Residential Business Plan.
• Contribute and work in alignment with all strategies underpinning the Residential
Business Plan.
• Manage Major Independent Groups & Independent stand-alone retailers in the
nominated territory
• Work collaboratively with fellow Territory Managers to report any new
business/ranging/promotional/training opportunities for Residential that exist within
existing Major Independent Groups and stand-alone Independent retailers.
• Achieve targets across;
o Revenue
o Margin
o Growth
o Business growth from both new & existing accounts in the nominated territory

Reporting
• Deliver accurate & timely sales and required reporting, ongoing territory updates, market
and competitor information and consistently present incremental, volume sales
opportunities.
• Assist in providing accurate sales and stock forecasts so that stock levels and product mix
are in place to delight customers
• Ongoing reports (ie. incidents, as required)

Account and Stakeholder Management


• Act as the face of the business with the Major Independent Group stores and stand-alone
Independent retailers within the nominated territory for all existing, new and targeted
business – being across all opportunities.
• Working with Marketing in relation to range development as appropriate, merchandising,
promotions and mutually beneficial advertising initiatives, to maximise the exposure,
profile and promotion of our brands for Major Independent Group stores and stand-alone
Independent retailers within the nominated territory.
• Liaise regularly with fellow Gerflor Australasia Territory managers across the regions to
discuss and share business opportunities and sales target strategies to pursue optimal
market distribution and support for our brands/product ranges in the nominated territory
and across all territories with Major Independent Group stores and stand-alone
Independent retailers.
• Work closely with Customer Service to ensure all ranging and respective pricing detail is
aligned. Resolve issues relating to any account in the nominated territory ASAP, and assist
with the resolution of any queries relating to the placement, delivery or credit (if raised),
of any orders/products related to any account in the nominated territory.
• Ensure the CRM system is utilised and kept up to date with the necessary information to
maximise project management and sales

PERSONAL • Passionate and experience working within the flooring market.

EXPERIENCE
• Proven Territory Maanger, Sales Management, Sales Executive (or similar role within the
manfacturing, distribution, construction or flooring industry)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to develop sales strategies and use performance KPI’s
• Excellent organisational and leadership abilities
