Chapter 4: PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS, AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA

This chapter presents the analysis and interpretation of the results gathered from the answers to
the survey that were given to Eastern Bacoor National High School- Grade 10 students.

1. Profile Respondents

According to the pie chart, 8.5% of grade 10 students who answered the survey were still
uncertain of the strand they wanted in SHS, 25.2% answered “maybe”, and 66.4% answered
“yes”. Overall, most grade 10 students in EBNHS are certain of the strand they want to choose
in coming SHS.
Base on the pie chart above, 26.7% of grade 10 in EBNHS choose the strand STEM for the
career they want in college, 25.0% choose HUMMS, 3.3% choose ARTS AND DESIGN, 5.8%
choose TVL, 17.5% chose ABM, 5.0% choose GAS, and 16.7% of grade 10 in EBNHS who
answered the survey doesn't know what strand they will choose for the career they want in
college or some may still undecided what career they want in college. Moreover, grade 10 in
EBNHS who answered the survey didn’t choose the strand SPORT TRACK.
The pie chart shows the factors that affect the decision-making in choosing a strand in SHS of
grade 10 students in EBNHS who answered the survey. 43.3% of them affects their decision
making by their family, 24.2% are affected by their friends, 13.3% of them are affected by their
famous personality, 13.3% are affected by others (other reasons that is not included in the
choices), and 5.8% are affected by peer pressure.
Based on the pie chart above, 63.9% of grade 10 students in EBNHS, who answered the survey,
answered yes, which is an indicator that they were sure about their choice (such as strand),
27.7% answered maybe, while 8.4% answered no.
