Introduction and Academic background:

I would like to introduce myself as an active, diligent, optimistic and a dedicated learner who is
having a goal to pursue an innovative course with an aim to support my professional growth in the
future.

As far as my academics are concerned, I have completed senior secondary in the non-medical stream
from Central Board of Secondary education (CBSE) in July 2021 with 91.2% marks. Before that, I have
done matriculation from Indian Council of Secondary Education Board (ICSE) in May 2019 with 93.6%
marks. From a young age, I had a fascination towards architectural designing as well as management
of the construction of buildings and wanted my career to be around the development of buildings.
Hence, to carve a niche in this professional field and to acquire global knowledge and skills, I was
pushed to explore several courses related to this field in India and abroad. I attended seminars on
overseas education and felt that pursuing higher education abroad will be more pragmatic and
fruitful for me in terms of advanced curriculum, latest techniques, global recognition, international
exposure and vast employment opportunities. Besides this, during this education, my linguistic skills,
interpersonal skills, team spirit and adaptability will improve significantly, which is going to be a key
to survive in fierce competition. So, in order to satisfy my urge of studying abroad, I appeared for an
IELTS Examination on 09th October 2021 and got overall 7.0 bands. Further, My interest in
expanding my knowledge and creating new dimensions of creativity has led me to select the
program of Bachelor of Applied Technology (Honours) - Architecture - Project and Facility
Management as my field of higher studies at Conestoga College, Ontario.

Future course and its relevance with previous studies:

Since time immemorial, the art of designing and building structures has undergone several changes
in order to be unique in different eras. These changes are most significantly seen due to the rise of
modern technology. As the population is increasing exponentially, high rise buildings are becoming
common. Apart from this, structural features including central heating, cooling, structural
engineering, modern facade, land-scaping, roof-top gardens, swimming pools are gaining immense
popularity. This has enabled professionals in the architectural realm to explore ideas and concepts
that were previously thought to be impossible. I have developed my interest in this program because
it is a dynamic field that focuses on the entire architectural process from design phase to occupancy
and redesign. Secondly, I have an inclination towards experiencing how technology affects the way
of designing the buildings by the architects.Moreover,I am highly enthusiastic about gaining
technical expertise, effective communication skills, decision-making skills by working practically on
several projects which can help me in broadening my horizon considerably. Furthermore, it is a vast
field that offers countless opportunities and learnings which motivates me to pursue a further career
in it. Besides this, I have scored more than 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in my
senior secondary. Thus, this course is quite relevant to my previous education and interests. So,as
per the demand and my keen interest in an inventive and challenging field, I have decided to opt for
this innovative program.

The future course is a unique program that educates and trains the graduates in designing and
managing the projects as well as it trains the students to provide facilities within the built
environment. It is a dynamic four-year, paid co-op degree which is delivered at the honours level.
This program is the only program in Canada that highlights both project management and facility
management. Coming to the course contents, the subjects that I will study are: Construction

the future program is highly relevant to my previous studies and offers an ideal platform of up
gradation of knowledge and skills to scale the ladder of progress.

Learning Outcomes and Career Intentions:

While studying this program, I will gain strong foundations in architecture, construction, basic
engineering, and business management with comprehensive insight into project and facility
management.Moreover, I will have unsurpassed highly transferable skills in leadership and
teamwork. Besides this, I will learn to demonstrate an understanding and application of mandatory
functions in the management of architectural and construction projects, such as planning,
organizing, staffing, directing, motivating, leading, monitoring, and controlling. Furthermore,
international exposure will enhance my communication skills, personality and adaptability in the
globalized world.
Upon completing the program, I will be coming back to my own country and seeking professional
opportunities at leading entities where I can utilize my knowledge, insights and skills. The proposed
program will help me take up more challenging and extensive roles in the field of project
management, facility management, architecture and construction. The international degree will help
me work better for global clients while helping me find better opportunities and positions both
financially and career-wise.In India, there are great opportunities for trained and experienced
project managers and professional architects. So, an international study will give me the opportunity
to have cutting edge. I can work in various areas that includes working in major real estate
management companies, industrial plants and corporations, architectural or engineering
organizations, management companies, and various levels of government such as Unique builders,
Param Homes, Oscar and Ponni Architects, Ashok Leyland etc.Further, international exposure will
also boost my communication skills and overall personality. Thereby, I will be fit for global
competition and add a whole new dimension to my career. Further, this program is an ideal platform
to complete Master degree in the same domain. After the graduation and experience from Canada, I
can earn a starting salary of INR 600000.00 to 700000.00 which usually jumps to INR. 800000.00 to
1000000.00 annually. Hence, this program justifies investment in terms of cost, efforts and time.

Language abilities:

Further, as far as English proficiency is concerned. I have also cleared IELTS with overall 7.0 bands,
with not less than 6.0 bands in any module. Further, my language of instruction and learning was
English throughout my past studies, hence, I ensure you that language proficiency will not pose any
challenge while studying and living there.

Family ties and financial capability:

As per financial capability is concerned,my father, Mr. Satinderpal Singh, is a commission agent and
broker and my mother, Mrs. Sachwinder Kaur, is also a commission agent, broker and agriculturist.
Regarding my siblings, my younger brother, Mr. Bhavsehaj Singh is a student in India. All of my
family members are the source of my motivation and their support has inspired me to join higher
education in Canada. Furthermore, I am having sufficient funds to complete my education. I have
paid one-year fees and deposited GIC of CAD 10000.00. My parents have an annual income of
approximately INR 118541.00 (CAD 1975.68). All the certificates related to above declared incomes,
financial assets, college deposit and GIC certificates are attached with my application. I authorize
your office to verify it from the concerned authorities and financial institutes.

Immigration history:

As far as my travel history is concerned, I have applied for a tourist visa to the USA for an
educational tour to NASA and Universal Studios which got refused. Apart from this, I have never
made any application to any nation. So, my application has neither been rejected nor denied by any
nation.
