Climate Change

Climate change, also known as global warming, is a significant environmental issue caused by
the increase in greenhouse gases in the Earth's atmosphere. Human activities such as the burning of
fossil fuels, deforestation, and industrial activities are the primary sources of greenhouse gas emissions,
leading to more frequent and severe extreme weather events, rising sea levels, and changes to
ecosystems and biodiversity.

The impacts of climate change are widespread and severe, affecting not only the environment
but also social and economic aspects. Extreme weather events can cause food and water shortages,
displacement of populations, and increased conflict over resources, while the cost of responding to and
adapting to climate change can be significant, particularly for developing countries.

Addressing climate change will require significant global action, including reducing greenhouse
gas emissions, adapting to its impacts, and protecting vulnerable communities and ecosystems. This
requires a coordinated effort from governments, businesses, and individuals to transition to sustainable
and renewable sources of energy, reduce consumption, and prioritize conservation efforts.
