8 Feb:
usual rush to get into my bus, someone shoved me and i dropped my phone but it's okay because it's an Android so doesn't break easy.
ashmita ma'am scolded me for doing other subject's work in her class.
sub par chicken for lunch in mess
leaving from college on bus and listening to music
making clay cats for valentine's day because i have come to believe in societal concepts of celebrating love

9 Feb:
crying on the stairs because i miss home and my family
still working on the cat. the glaze is not drying fast enough.
talked to parents and ordered medicines, scheduled a lab test for the weekend. been sick in hostel for over two months.
eating snacks from home and missing home.
Day 3

10 Feb:
in bus for college, it is very overcrowded and it feels like the end is near when I'm sitting in front of the bus door and a speed breaker comes.
trying to download AutoCAD
tried to learn AutoCAD basics and didn't understand anything. my drawing keeps getting lost whenever i zoom out.
eating outside foodie's fest. wishing it had benches and chairs so people could sit and eat.
took nap after college and didn't wake up and missed snack time in mess.
ordered food because Friday mess menu is bad (dry noodles for dinner)

Day 3

11 Feb:
woke up early, went to the testing lab
walked back to the hostel, bought fruits and got some clothes stitched. wishing college and/or hostel had more basic amenities nearby like
chemists, tailors, food stalls, etc.
stopped at a craft shop nearby that sold flower pots

12th Feb:
it is a Sunday but i woke up early to work but i ended up procrastinating until the afternoon.
started working in the afternoon. i prefer working alone so i brought my snacks, notes and laptop to the common area in front of the lift
and worked listening to music.
i got tired of working on assignment so i took a break and went to have snacks. took a cup of coffee.
made some art in the evening.
my friends decided what to dress up as for the FC interaction. i didn't dress up as anyone because i hate college.

Day 7 Day 8

15 th Feb:
Woke up early to get breakfast because I need to eat medicine afterwards.
Found a seat in the bus and bus wale bhaiya played really loud Tamil music which makes me feel more alive in the mornings. i shazam'ed the song.
it's called Kanja Poovu Kannala. pretty catchy.
lab class. i kind of hate lab class because you can't listen or look at the teacher if you're sitting at the back and we don't really use the desktops.
Day 9

16 th Feb
saw a cat in campus and went to look at it. also saw a butterfly. i wish there was some way to feed the cats in campus because they
always come to ask for food whenever i buy something from foodie's feast.

tried to complete a presentation for an assignment.

Day 10
PROCESS
At first, I approached 5 students studying at NIFT.(All from different departments).
They represent different demographic profiles and have different perspectives and
experiences with the cultural landscape of Chennai city.

Thereafter, I interacted with them and got to know their personality style, hobbies etc.
Then I instructed them to document their daily life, through photographers, notes etc
for 10 days. I gave them reminders every day to make sure that the consistency
doesn't get broken.
I also encouraged them to complete the activities in their own time and to be as
honest and detailed as possible in their responses.
After collecting their data (which mostly consisted of photographers ) I looked for
patterns and themes in the data that suggest problem areas
Then I started Identifying the problem areas for each individual: Based on the
analysis of the data,
Later, three common problems were identified and written as a problem statement
that require a design strategy

Traffic during different hours was one of the first common
problems found. They wait patiently for the signal to turn green.

Doing most of the work on the bed. (like doing assignments,
eating food etc.) It also results in making the bed more messy.

Unorganisation - Powe cables, charging extension, wires,
mouse,etc get's jumbled up easily. Tables gets very messy easily
