Relying On
It's tempting to rely on Google Discover Traffic as a way to increase your
site's traffic. After all, it's free and easy to use—you don't need any
special software or technical know-how.
It's not that Google Discover Traffic doesn't work—it does. It works well
enough that Google wants you to use it more often.
Google Discover traffic refers to people who visit your site after
searching for a keyword on Google. The problem with this type of traffic
is that it's not specific enough.
For example, if someone searches for "best shoes," they may end up on
your page because they're looking for recommendations or something
else entirely.
The problem is that Google Discover Traffic doesn't give you any
information about the people who are clicking your ads. If you don't know
anything about your customers, then how can you make changes based
on their behavior? You can't!
Google Discover Traffic is a fine tool for driving traffic to your site. But,
as with any tool, you need to know how to use it properly.
Google Discover traffic is one of the most popular sources of traffic for
many businesses. But while it's great to get more traffic, it's important to
be aware that this particular source is not necessarily the best kind of
traffic to rely on.
It's too easy for your competitors to get the same traffic. If your
competition is doing well on Google Discover, they'll have access to the
same audience you do. With that, they'll be able to use that advantage
against you in their own campaigns.
In other words, if your competitor has a better landing page than yours
and uses better keywords than yours, they can take advantage of all the
people who are searching for those terms. That means less money for
you and more for them!
