Method Statement: Preinsulated Pipe Installation

Scope

The goal of Contractor for hot water installation using Preinsulated Pipes is to fulfill the task orderly
and safely for both personnel and property, in pre-designed time.

Procedure of Installation

Equipment:

- Leveling instruments

- Welding machine

- Propane torch

- Hand tools

- Liquid and air compressor for pressure test

Delivery, storage, handling:

- All materials and equipments should be delivered, stored and handled in a manner that protects
them from damage, moisture, dirt and intrusion of other materials.

- Ordering and delivery of materials should be planned according to the work progress to minimize
storage on site, where there are higher possibilities of damages and deterioration of materials.

- Materials delivered should be checked according to the specifications and approved from Engineer.

- Care shall be taken to ensure that the surface of materials is not damaged.

- Materials and equipments should be stored in order to permit easy access.

- The materials and equipments shall be carried from the storage area by a proper way and stored to
a predetermined location near workplace in a suitable manner

Installation preparation:

- The work shall comprise supply of all labor, materials, equipment and service necessary for the
complete installation, testing adjusting, and placing the fire protection system into service, in
accordance with this section of specifications and working drawings.

- Drawings and specifications are considered mutually explanatory.

- Execution of work should be instructed and all necessary approved, latest revised drawings should
be distributed.
- Installation works, areas and access should be confirmed to be in a suitable condition for execution
and installation works.

Installation of piping system, fittings and joints

The pipes will be fixed to each other by welding machine, it is imperative that the joint be assembled
properly to ensure that the product performs to expectations. The steps that must be followed to
obtain a quality joint are provided below. Failure to follow these instructions may cause the joint
quality to be severely compromised.
