Good morning students. Good morning, sir John. Good morning

Classmates.
Let us pray first… (One Student will lead the prayer)

Is there any absent in the class? None, sir.

Before we start our lesson, let us

always remember our classroom rules.
Who can give me the first rule?

Sit properly.
Correct. What are the others?

Be quite .
Listen attentively.
Participate.

So how was your day?

Is it great?
It was great ma’am
That’s good to know. So let’s begin
this with a group activity.

Motivation

The students will be divided in to four;

each groups will be given pieces of
paper with words written on them.
They will be asked to arrange the
words in order to make a sentence.

They will come up with the following

sentences:

1. Dive into the lake!

2. Throw this onto the table.
3. Since yesterday I wasn’t feeling
well.
4. Wait me here for 30 minutes.

Very good! I am very happy that you

were able to finish the task given to
you. Now let’s discuss your answers.
Anybody who can tell me what he/she
notices with the following sentences?

Discussion
Very good observation! Now let me
introduce you to Imperatives and
Prepositions when giving instructions.
Would someone read the definition of (Students will give their answers)
Instruction, Imperative, and
Preposition for me?

(Student will volunteer to read:

“Instruction is a statement or list of
statements that either describes the
process of doing an idea or describes the
intended activity of a person giving
instruction.)
Thanks. I need another student to read
the Imperative Sentences.
Examples:
● Put your bag on the table
● Come back on Monday
● Don’t talk to your classmates
during an exam.

Thanks. Now, let’s take a look at the

(Student will volunteer to read:
sentence that group 1 came up with.
“Imperative Sentences are sentences that
either give a command, order, warning,
advice, or request.”)
1. Dive into the lake!

Does it give a command, order,

warning, advice, or request? Is it and
imperative sentence?
Very good! How about the example
provided by group 2?

1. Throw this onto the table.

Yes, sir.

warning, advice, or request? Is it and

Very good! It is the same as the group

Now to make it more exciting, I have

here what I called the wheel of
prepositions. I will call one student
each group to spin the wheel and give
example to the preposition pointed on
the wheel. Give example in a form of
instruction using imperative and
preposition pointed in the roulette. And
