Lesson 2 Reflection

Writing an Informative and Persuasive essay takes a lot of time and effort to
create. Both Informative and Persuasive writing are important and useful in their own
ways.

Informative writing, in my opinion, is the easiest type of text to compose as it

composed of facts. It’s content content is mainly filled with facts or proven sources,
there are different types of informative writing such as Cause and Effect essay,
Opposing Sides essay, and Process essay. Informative writing provides detailed
explanations about an idea purely with facts.

On the contrary, Persuasive writing is harder than Informative writing. In

Persuasive writing, you must be able to convince the reader to believe in your argument
or opinion, and with a lack of facts on an idea or opinion you must be persuasive in
order to convince one which in my opinion is more difficult than writing down proven
statements. Persuasive writing created with an intent to persuade readers to agree with
an argument.

Informative and Persuasive writing are used in real life more often than you think.
Informative writing is often seen in textbooks, newspapers, research papers and more.
While persuasive writing is often seen in reviews, advertisements, political speeches
and more. In their own ways, persuasive and informative writing are both significant and
beneficial in real life depending on how they are used.

In conclusion, writing Informative and Persuasive texts are important and

effective depending on how it is written. Depending on how they are applied, Persuasive
and Informative writing are both important and helpful.
