Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story

Ben is a wonderful illustration of how miracles can materialize if we put our hearts into them
and have faith. However, it can be made easier if you are in the correct setting, which is vital. In this
essay, we'll utilize Ben's stories to examine how his mother, upbringing, and beliefs shaped his
personality as a practicing doctor.

He was a little black boy attending a white children's school. He had to defend racism from
students and even professors back when it was a very big issue. His mother was a single parent raising
two boys while working various jobs. Mommy Carson was unable to read while assisting his children
with their homework. In his first year, he almost was expelled from Yale University.

They assumed Ben was stupid, not comprehending it was because he hadn't discussed such
ideas. Ben could have been demotivated by being called the dumbest student, but he used it as
motivation instead. This demonstrates grit because a young boy's self-esteem is typically low when he is
made fun of and teased by peers. Ben was driven to succeed and could not allow anything to stand in his
way. Then, inspired by his mother, he dedicates his life to reading, and becomes the most intelligent
student.

At the time, he had one of the best mothers in the planet. Despite not being able to read
herself, mother Carson encouraged her sons to spend time at the library reading books. His mother
would tell him to have confidence in himself and his capacity to grow. He usually followed his mother's
advice when it came to his learning style, which was one factor in his success.

Therefore, we can say that Language is absolutely central to your learning: without it, you
cannot make sense or communicate your understanding of a subject. If learning the English language is
just a chore, you won't do as well because it will appear tedious. For this reason, it's critical to maintain
motivation and have fun while learning a new language. Find ways to have fun as you study, such
playing word games with friends to improve your critical thinking. Undoubtedly, learning a new
language requires time and effort; you cannot begin at the beginning and finish an academic paper
within a week. However, if you put in a lot of effort while building on a solid basis just like Ben Carson,
you can get tremendous results rapidly.

There is no secret to learning a language well enough to speak it fluently. It will arrive in its own
time if you just work hard and give it your all. You simply need to pay attention to what your teachers
are saying you and work hard. You can't rush it and you can't make it appear out of nowhere in a month
or two. If you keep trying, you'll eventually become fluent.

Some people prefer to study a language by learning the grammar, while others prefer to learn a
lot of vocabulary, while others prefer to read books in the target language, while others prefer to watch
a lot of films and episodes in the target language or listen to a range of podcasts and radio broadcasts,
and so on. All of the methods stated above are beneficial to language learning, but the most crucial and
necessary of all, which goes hand in hand with all of the other instruments, is "SPEAKING."
