Coming into this internship, my skills that were most useful and applicable were my

organization skills, as well as my technology skills and experience with digital platforms. I
learned and developed many new skills during the internship, including providing customer
services, promoting businesses, and organizing and presenting information. I did face
technological challenges during my link when creating informational posters and flyers, but I
was able to overcome these challenges. In overcoming these challenges, I had to learn to be
patient and have the ability to problem solve when issues arise. I believe that my presence at
Animas Acupuncture was beneficial because I was able to interact with patients and assist them
with scheduling appointments or passing on messages from my mentor when she was
preoccupied. I also created an infographic that provides information on all the vitamin injections
offered, and what they are used for. I designed, printed, and hung up flyers for an event hosted by
Animas Acupuncture, and created an instagram account where I posted more informational
content that I created. I believe that I was helpful in promoting Animas Acupuncture, and that
my content designs and promotions helped bring in clients. If Animas Acupuncture were to
accept highschool interns in the future, it would likely be helpful to the business in a sense that
interns offer assistance with any tasks from organizing the office, interacting with patients, and
even promoting the business. I was able to talk to many different medical professionals, each
with a different story about what their job entails and the educational process they went through.
This helped me gain perspective and ideas on my own path and what I want my future to look
like. I met with a pediatrician, and she told me everything about balancing work with personal
life, the financial side of her career, why she chose to be a pediatrician, and the educational
process that she went through. After meeting with her, I’m still confident in my hopes of
becoming a pediatrician.
