Instructions Well Inflow Quality Indicator determination

This program provides an easy and quick way of calculating Well Inflow Quality Indicator (WIQI)
especially when all required data is not available. The user is advised to go through the theory
page to get acquanted with the range of operating conditions under which the
productivity index is calculated. The Buttons below will assist you in arriving at the respective Pages.
You are required to enter data only in the cells highlighted orange /Tan

Cell contains numerical input. The cell is unlocked and entries can be changed
to see how they affect results.

Cell contains intermediate calculations that lead to the final output and cannot
be changed

Cell contains derived results and is locked. Formulas may be copied and
pasted into other spreadsheets.

Spp = Skin due to Partial Penetration

Given by Brons and Marting (1961) as
S pp = (

where b = hp/H

G(b) = 2.948 – 7.363 b + 11.45 b

Sd = Skin due to formation damgiven as Sd = [(hp/H)*(St - Spp)] - Ssc

where S pp = Apparent skin, due to partial completion

S sc = Consolidation skin, due to consolidation treatment
S d = Impairment skin
Ssc = Skin due to sand control method Assumed to be 5.0 for IGP, and 4.0 for other control

R- Factor is given by the equation> R = h ∗ Sd
